Goksenin Sen (Dr. Gee), a former physics teacher, holds a PhD in science education and curriculum studies with a background in engineering physics. Her doctoral studies focused on how middle school science teachers learn and teach quantum physics. Dr. Gee, as a coordinator for Let’s Talk Science and Mad Science, did extensive science and quantum physics outreach activities in K-12 in Victoria, BC over ten years. Among many other science symposia for middle and high school students that she organized, she launched the first quantum mechanics symposium for middle school students at the University of Victoria. Dr. Gee offers quantum mechanics courses for general public and teaches quantum physics for non-physicists community courses at the University of Victoria. Her passion is to promote STEM education and scientific literacy by offering inspiring learning opportunities through the magical concepts of quantum mechanics.
